How to replace lithium-ion battery in UPS battery pack

After receiving the notification that the UPS battery pack can be replaced, the battery replacement executive engineer went to the site to make preparations: ensure the input power supply of the UPS host, the registration inspection of the new and old batteries, the sealing of the smoke probe of the fire protection system in the computer room, and the preparation of carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, etc. Related work.

Before replacing the battery, make relevant registration records for the UPS host, old battery packs, battery monitors and other equipment, especially the placement of each layer of batteries and the wiring of the battery monitors. Mark and draw the connection diagram. Ensure that the effect after the battery pack is replaced is consistent with the original situation.

After everything is ready, replace the lithium-ion battery, disconnect the connection switch between the UPS host and the battery pack, disconnect the lithium-ion battery UPS host and the battery pack, to ensure the safety of the staff when replacing the battery.

Disassemble the battery of the original UPS battery pack. The battery replacement executive engineer is responsible for the battery disassembly work, and the relevant auxiliary technicians carry out the handling of new and old batteries. When disassembling the old battery, place the disassembled battery cable and battery terminal screws neatly in a box to ensure tidiness and cleanliness in the equipment room. After removing the old battery, place the old battery and the old battery rack neatly in the position specified by Party A.

Place the new battery rack assembly in the designated position and start to install the new battery at the same time. Place the new battery on the battery rack so that the position and direction of the new battery on the battery rack are adjusted best. After connecting a set of batteries, check whether the connecting wires of the battery terminals are firm; check whether the total voltage of the battery pack is normal, etc., and the positive and negative poles of the batteries must be connected correctly. After replacing the battery, use a multimeter to check the total voltage of the battery pack, the positive and negative poles of the battery pack, and the neutral wire connection.

After ensuring that the battery pack and the lithium-ion battery UPS host are normal, close the battery pack switch to restore the lithium-ion battery UPS uninterruptible power supply system to normal operation. Then check the UPS's working voltage, current, charging voltage, working status, etc. and make a record. One person observes whether the parameters in the LCD display of the host are consistent with the actual ones, and the battery time parameters are adjusted and set to ensure that the battery does not give false alarms during its normal life.

After the host is debugged normally, disconnect the input power switch of the lithium-ion battery UPS host to simulate the interruption of the mains power failure, and test whether the lithium-ion battery UPS system can be normally converted from the mains to the battery backup power supply to ensure the normal operation of the equipment in the computer room cabinet . After the battery replacement work is completed, clean the UPS room and clean up debris to ensure a good environment in the UPS room.

Restore the preparatory work done in the equipment room before battery replacement. And should charge the new battery pack for about 24 hours to ensure that the new battery is fully charged.
