Tesla electric car produced in China may eventually adopt the Chinese manufacturer's battery instead of the Panasonic product.

Tesla said that the current car production still lacks batteries and needs more Panasonic batteries.

Tesla said that the current supply of batteries has not yet reached the amount required for Tesla to produce cars, and it also confirms recent rumors about the tension between Panasonic and Tesla. Whether Tesla Gigafactory, which is under construction in Shanghai, will integrate Panasonic's battery production facilities has not yet been announced. In addition to Panasonic, Tesla reportedly has discussions with two Chinese battery suppliers, Lishen Battery and Ningde Times. The battery supply cooperation, so the Tesla electric car produced in China may eventually adopt the Chinese manufacturer's battery instead of the Panasonic product.
